Kayla Keckler

Kayla Keckler has a diverse background in education and healthcare, currently serving as a Biology Tutor at Varsity Tutors and as a Medical Student at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine since January 2022. Previous roles include MCAT Tutor and Biology Tutor at Grand Valley State University, where Kayla ignited students' passion for biology. During a stint as a Cross Cultural Worker with Greater Europe Mission, Kayla engaged with local communities and supported pilgrims through outreach programs. Kayla also possessed research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, focusing on the impact of co-infections on gene expression. Earlier engagements included Certified Nursing Assistant positions, first responding to the COVID-19 crisis and later in home healthcare, alongside a Research and Development Internship at The Andersons, Inc. Kayla holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a focus on Microbiology from Grand Valley State University.
