Daniel Cassidy

Daniel Cassidy has over 25 years of experience in the power and energy sector, currently serving as the Transmission Grid Strategy & Planning Manager at Western Power since December 2010. Daniel has progressed through various roles at Western Power, including Area Manager positions and Engineering Team Leader. Prior experience includes roles at Iberdrola as Lead Engineer in Transmission System Design, National Grid as Power System Engineer, ABB as Protection & Control Design Engineer, and ScottishPower as Project Engineer. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Power Systems Engineering & Economics from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
