Darren Kerstien

Darren Kerstien is an associate in the Orange County office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and practices with the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and public and private capital markets transactions. He also advises clients on securities and corporate governance matters.

Mr. Kerstien earned his law degree in 2013 from the University of California, Irvine School of Law where he graduated cum laude and was awarded Pro Bono Highest Honors for his extensive work representing clients through the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. Mr. Kerstien served as a Senior Notes Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review and was a Research Fellow for the First Year Lawyering Skills course. Mr. Kerstien received a B.A. from Azusa Pacific University, graduating summa cum laude, and receiving the department award for top senior.

Mr. Kerstien maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing families in foster-to-adopt proceedings, individuals seeking immigration relief, and counseling nonprofit organizations on structuring and corporate governance matters.
