Kavya Panjwani is currently an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at Wesleyan University, coordinating research experiments under Dr. Teresita Padilla-Benavides and investigating HU protein-DNA binding dynamics under Dr. Ishita Mukerji. In addition to academic research, Kavya serves as the Wesleyan Reproductive Advocacy & Legislation Coordinator, organizing events to promote reproductive health awareness and support. Engagement in community service includes roles as an Abortion Doula with Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, providing emotional support during abortion procedures, and as a Peer Educator with Advocates for Youth, advocating for expanded reproductive health access. Kavya also holds positions as a copyeditor for the Arcadia Political Review and an assistant party planner, while contributing as an assistant coach for the Flyers Track Club. Education is being pursued at Wesleyan University, building on a foundational high school education from Westfield Senior High School.
