Brian Koons

Brian Koons, PE, has extensive experience in engineering management, primarily within the energy and mining sectors. Currently serving as Manager of Design Engineering and Plant Modifications at Westinghouse Electric Company since August 2019, Brian is tasked with developing capital spending plans and managing engineering functions in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Prior roles include Manager of Design Engineering at Covia, Principal Engineer positions at WECTEC Staffing Services and GForce Engineering and Technology, and Chief Engineer & Project Manager at Mid-Columbia Engineering, where Brian oversaw significant projects related to waste treatment and nuclear facilities. Brian began the engineering career at Boeing and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
