Aubrey Varela

Aubrey Varela is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. Currently serving as Program Director in the Enterprise Transformation Office at Westpac since May 2015, Aubrey has held multiple leadership roles including Project Director and Finance Director, contributing to significant transformations within the organization. Prior experience includes key positions at ANZ and Suncorp Group, where responsibilities encompassed financial management and transformation. Aubrey began a career in finance at Ernst & Young and A.F. Ferguson & Co, providing audit and advisory services. Educational qualifications include certifications from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai.
