Christian Sorensen

Christian Sorensen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christian began their career in 1996 as a CATV/RF Design Engineer at Motorola BCS, where they designed and tested Cable Television amplifiers. Christian then moved on to Motorola Broadband Communications Sector as a Photonics Transport Engineer, where they performed design verification and testing of optical components.

In 2002, Sorensen joined PPL Electric Utilities as a Transmission Design Engineer, designing transmission lines and assisting in training new engineers. Christian later became a Customer Support Engineer, responsible for the technical operation of the electrical distribution system and identifying projects to improve system performance.

Sorensen joined MSE Power Systems in 2009 as a Professional Engineer specializing in Transmission and Distribution Design. Christian then worked at CG Power Solutions, Inc. as a Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager, leading transmission and distribution projects.

From 2011 to 2019, Sorensen worked at Main Line Energy Consultants, LLC as a Principal Engineer. Christian was responsible for engineering, marketing, and company growth, specializing in Utility Transmission and Distribution Engineering projects.

Most recently, Sorensen joined Westwood Professional Services in 2019 as the Director of Power Delivery.

Throughout their career, Sorensen has demonstrated expertise in power delivery, transmission, distribution, and engineering project management. Christian'sexperience encompasses various roles and responsibilities, making him a well-rounded professional in the field.

Christian Sorensen completed their education at various institutions. From 1994 to 1998, they studied Electrical Engineering at Penn State University, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Christian then pursued further education at Drexel University from 2000 to 2007, where they obtained two Master's degrees. During this time, they focused on Physics and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management and another MS degree in the Science of Instruction. In 2008, Christian obtained a Professional Engineering License (P.E) but it is unclear when their education in this field began or if it is related to their earlier studies.
