Stephanie de Franca Couto Martins has a diverse work experience in engineering and research. Stephanie started their career as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, where they supported professors and PHD students in various research projects. Stephanie then worked as an Engineering Intern at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, participating in an experimental research project on drilling fluid rheology. Stephanie gained further experience as a Server at Colorado State University, ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines and providing high-quality customer service. Stephanie also worked as a Math Tutor at the Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University, assisting students with precalculus math and performing administrative duties. Stephanie then interned as a Gas Engineering Intern at Xcel Energy, where they analyzed and created database management and set up gas distribution systems. Stephanie later joined Olsson as an Assistant Engineer, focusing on land development and providing design calculations and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Currently, Stephanie is working at Westwood Professional Services as a Site Design Staff Engineer, assisting project managers in drafting and designing utility scale wind and solar projects, conducting site investigations, and providing technical support.

Stephanie de Franca Couto Martins obtained their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, where they studied from 2018 to 2022. In May 2022, they graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Civil Engineering in Training from NCEES in April 2023.
