Jedrzej Wojtowicz

As Senior Head of Department of the Shots team, Jedrzej works across all of Wētā FX’s films, overseeing the people involved in refining and finalising many of the final elements of a shot, including FX, lighting, compositing, and matte painting.

Jed joined Wētā FX in 2007 as a Lighting ATD for The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep and then transitioned into the Shaders Department on James Cameron’s Avatar. On his next big film, Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin, Jed became the head of the Shaders Department.

Jed has developed shading solutions for some of Wētā FX’s most cutting-edge VFX work, including the look-dev of the Na’vi from Avatar and the realistic eyes on Caesar from the Planet of the Apes trilogy.
