Tobias Schmidt

Tobias Schmidt is a Senior Researcher at Weta Digital since September 2018, specializing in motion capture engineering. Prior experience includes a role as a Machine Learning Researcher at 8i and a Software Engineer at super computing systems from 2013 to 2017. Tobias served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics from 2012 to 2013 and completed a PhD in Computational Biology at Biozentrum, University of Basel from 2008 to 2012. Earlier roles include an internship in Computational Chemistry at Roche and an internship at Phares Drug Delivery AG. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Basel.
