Scott Yara

Scott Yara has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 1997. Scott began their career at Sandpiper Networks, Inc. as VP of Marketing in 1997. In 2000, they co-founded Greenplum and served as founding CEO, President, and Board Member until it was acquired by EMC in 2010. Following this, they served as SVP Products at EMC and Co-Founder and Team Member at Nomic. In 2013, they joined Pivotal Software, Inc. as Team Member, serving in various roles including SVP Products, President, and Board Member until it was acquired by VMware in 2019. In 2020, they became Managing Director at Sutter Hill Ventures and Team Member at Astronomer.

Scott Yara attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 1991 to 1995. Scott obtained a Astronomer Certification DAG Authoring for Apache Airflow in July 2022 and a Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals in June 2022.
