Risha F. has a diverse work experience in the medical field. In 1996, they started working as an MD at Homefirst Medical Group, where they stayed until 2000. From 2000 to 2014, they served as an MD at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, focusing on rural healthcare and teaching Family Practice resident physicians. Starting in 2014, they moved to Morrison Community Hospital, working as a Family Physician until 2017. Simultaneously, they became a member of the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians in 1997 and the American Society of Addiction Medicine - ASAM in 2017. In 2017, Risha F. also joined FHN, where they worked as a Physician, primarily focused on primary care and addiction medicine. During their time there, they also engaged in addictions and family medicine. Later, in 2020, they took on the role of a Physician at Carle Health and became the Medical Director for Carle BroMenn Addiction Services. Additionally, they worked as an Addictionologist at know medicine starting in 2022. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Medical Director at Wexford Health Sources.
Risha F. attended Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained an MD degree in Medicine. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Working Remotely, Communicating across Cultures, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Project Management: Healthcare Projects, and Interprofessional Healthcare Informatics from LinkedIn and Coursera.
