Jason Minchin has a diverse work experience in the engineering and manufacturing field. Jason began their career as an Engineering Intern at Weyerhaeuser in 1993. From there, they held various roles such as Project Engineer, Maintenance Team Leader, Technical Department Manager, Process Reliability Leader, Sawmill Dryside Superintendent, Sawmill Greenside Superintendent, Engineering/Maintenance Superintendent, Mill Manager, and Engineering & Technical Director at the same company. Jason then transitioned to the role of Vice President of Manufacturing - Canada before becoming the Vice President of Engineering, Reliability, and Innovation - Wood Products in January 2020.

Jason Minchin attended The University of British Columbia from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In April 1997, they obtained the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
