Marcelia Natalie Nicholson

Marcelia Natalie Nicholson serves as the Chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors since November 2015, overseeing board meetings and managing daily departmental operations. With extensive experience in local governance, Marcelia has also held positions such as Vice Chairwoman of the County Board, Chair of the Economic and Community Development Committee, and Milwaukee County Supervisor. In addition to roles in public service, Marcelia is an active educator, currently teaching 4th grade at Pierce Elementary School and engaging with the National Education Association as a delegate. Marcelia is involved in various organizations, including as Chairperson of the Yes for MPS Referendum Coalition and Vice President of the Milwaukee Area Service and Hospitality Workers Organization. Marcelia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Lakeland College.
