Kemi Kuranga-Guzman

Kemi Kuranga-Guzman has extensive experience in talent development, diversity, equity, and inclusion roles within prestigious law firms such as Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Nixon Peabody LLP. Kemi has led initiatives to enhance associate professional development, create inclusive environments, and implement diversity strategies. Kemi's work history also includes roles in recruiting, admissions, and program coordination in legal and educational settings. Kemi currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Whalar, where they develop global DEI programs and advises senior leaders on DEI strategy.

Kemi Kuranga-Guzman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Miami University in 2002. Kemi then went on to earn a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2007. Prior to their higher education, they graduated from Talawanda High School in 1998. Additionally, they hold certifications in Dealing with Microaggression as an Employee, Inclusive Leadership, and Leading with a Heavy Heart from LinkedIn in 2022 and 2021.
