Christine Fürthaller

Christine Fürthaller has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Christine is currently the Head of Growth at Whale Seeker since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant, Sustainability at ADDERE Service-conseil from March 2022 to May 2023.

Christine also has extensive experience working at TELUS, where they held multiple roles. From April 2015 to March 2022, they served as a Senior Program Manager, Sustainability, playing a key role in integrating sustainability and social purpose into corporate decision-making and operations. From May 2012 to April 2015, they worked as a Senior Process Improvement Leader, empowering teams and managing the corporate Lean Six Sigma training program.

Before joining TELUS, Christine worked at the National Bank of Canada as a Senior Advisor Continuous Improvement from March 2011 to April 2012. Christine developed and delivered training sessions, facilitated workshops, and led improvement projects.

Other roles in Christine's work experience include Marketing Advisor at Desjardins Immigrant Investor Program from April 2009 to March 2011, Consultant at Vimba Inc. from 2006 to 2011, Associate Director Internal Communications, Program Management Office at Bell Canada from April 2007 to December 2008, and Product Marketing Manager at Fabasoft from January 2006 to January 2007.

In their earlier career, Christine worked as an Assistant to the Trade Commissioner at the Austrian Embassy, Commercial Section in 2004 and as an International Department Coordinator at Aifos in the same year.

Christine Fürthaller's education history includes various degrees and certifications. In 2022, they attended UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, focusing on Environmental Education. From 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Environment at the Université de Sherbrooke. Prior to that, between 2009 and 2012, they obtained a graduate diploma in environmental management (DGE) from the same university. In 2005, they studied Chinese language and culture at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Earlier, from 2001 to 2005, Christine Fürthaller pursued a Magister (FH) degree in Export-Oriented Management EU-ASEAN-NAFTA at IMC Krems and completed a Double Degree program in International Business at NEOMA Business School in 2003-2004. Additionally, they had some coursework in Chinese language at Université de Montréal and complimented their education with Spanish classes. Furthermore, in December 2021, they obtained a certification in Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies from the University of Cambridge.
