Michele Betancourt

Michele Betancourt is the Director of Distance Education at Wharton County Junior College. Michele has been an educator for over 15 years and has experience teaching at the community college level. Michele's experience includes facilitating multiple sections annually, utilizing multiple formats including web enhanced, hybrid, internet, dual credit and compact sections. Michele also has experience using multiple assessments in compliance with college and state requirements to inform instruction. Michele is dedicated to using innovative and collaborative methods and materials to produce effective learning experiences.

Michele Betancourt has a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is ABD in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston.
