Margaret Gaffney

Margaret Gaffney possesses extensive experience in supporting individuals with special needs and their families, currently serving as a Committee Member at What's Next since January 2023. As Transition Coordinator at A Special Needs Plan since August 2017, Margaret has become a trusted resource for families navigating the transition of their children into adulthood, focusing on guardianship, SSI and Medicaid applications, and employment opportunities. Additionally, as Vice President of Indie Tree Community since April 2017, Margaret works on developing sustainable housing options for adults with disabilities. Margaret has also been the Director of Transition 2 Independence, LLC since September 2014, where guidance is provided to families on accessing publicly funded services. Previous experience includes serving as Head of Riding at Camp Mondamin from May 2004 to August 2016. Margaret Gaffney holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity College-Hartford, earned between 1977 and 1981.
