Durgesh Reddiyar

Robotics Engineer at wheel.me

Durgesh Reddiyar has a diverse work experience spanning from 2017 to 2023.

In 2017, Reddiyar worked as a Research Intern at Mutha Founders Private Limited, where they focused on quality control using computer vision for engineering parts. Durgesh successfully developed a manufactured parts detector and defect/deformity detector for over 1300 engine parts.

In the same year, they also worked as an Academic Research Fellow at Rajarambapu Institute of Technology. Their project involved developing a low-cost Gait Analysis System for walking abnormalities using YOLO object detection and inverse kinematics. Durgesh also contributed to a review paper on gait analysis approaches and applications.

In 2017 and 2018, Reddiyar served as a Research and Development Intern at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Durgesh optimized code samples for visual tracking data and validated and visualized object tracking algorithms based on computer vision and convolutional neural networks. Durgesh also performed experiments to increase the speed of fast Fourier transformations on GPU.

From March 2019 to September 2019, Reddiyar worked as a Machine Learning Intern at e-Zest Solutions. Durgesh contributed to a conversational artificial intelligence project, developing a facial recognition system and working on human-computer interaction frameworks. Durgesh also gained experience in managing sensitive real-world complex datasets and developed hot/trigger word recognition scripts.

In September 2019, Reddiyar transitioned to the role of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Researcher at e-Zest Solutions. Here, they worked on a satellite image analysis project for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, introducing strategic solutions and planning the architecture for deep learning training pipelines. Their decisions led to a significant improvement in accuracy metrics, increasing the IOU score to 92%, which exceeded client satisfaction.

Currently, starting in January 2023, Reddiyar is working as a Robotics Deployment Engineer at wheel.me. Further details about this role are not provided.

Durgesh Reddiyar began their education at Arizona State University in 2021, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems AI, specializing in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Rajarambapu Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2018 and obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications, including being Triplebyte Certified, Simscape certified by MathWorks, Understanding Research Methods certified by University of London & SOAS University of London through Coursera, Red Hat Certified System Administrator from Red Hat, SQL Fundamental Course from SoloLearn, and Introduction to Computer Programming from IITBombayX.
