Pieter van Wyk

Pieter Van Wyk is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project and process engineering, particularly in the coal and mineral processing sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Engineer at Whitehaven Coal, Pieter contributes to the CHPP component of the Vickery Extension Project. As a Principal Process Engineer at Engenium (now Stantec), responsibilities include leading various projects related to Mobile In-Pit Crushing and the detailed engineering of electrolyte production for Vanadium Redox Batteries. Pieter's previous roles include Project Engineer for BHP, Project Lead Metallurgist for Coronado Global Resources Inc., and Specialist Process Engineer for Peabody Energy, where significant projects were managed, including technology implementation in CHPPs and process improvement initiatives.
