Russell Kerr has a diverse work experience in the field of UX design. Russell started their career as a freelancer, providing user experience and user interface design services to various clients globally. Russell then worked as a User Interface Designer at RIBA Enterprises Ltd and later joined Saberlight Digital Limited as a UX and Interaction Designer. Russell then spent a year at Northumbria University as a UX Design Lead, where they led the UX design team and worked on multiple projects. After that, they worked as a Senior UX Consultant at engaged web, collaborating with clients such as Power NI and Travel Department. Russell then joined Rapid7 as a UX Designer II and quickly moved up to become a Senior UX Designer and UX Product Lead, responsible for product roadmap, user research, and mentoring junior designers. Currently, Russell is employed at Whitespace as the Head of Design, showcasing their leadership skills and expertise in the field. Throughout their career, Russell has demonstrated proficiency in user research, information architecture, prototyping, and UI design.

Russell Kerr began their education at Ballymena Academy from 2000 to 2005. After completing their time at the academy, they attended Belfast Metropolitan College from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained an Access to University Diploma in Computing, Multimedia, and Business. Russell then furthered their education at Teesside University, from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a DipRussell degree in Web & Multimedia Design.
