Yousef Ahmed is a Junior Developer at Whitespace. Yousef previously worked as a Junior Front-End Developer at Green, where they were involved in making numerous sites from scratch, with an appreciation for design, responsiveness, and overall functionality. Yousef also did a significant amount of React Native and was key in putting v3 of the app live to both the Google Store and Apple Store. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at PYCP, where they were part of a team that worked with a client in a 2 week sprint to fix and build features on an existing app for a youth centre. Yousef personally wrote code allowing CSV files to be uploaded and saved to the database. Yousef has also worked as a Food Service Manager at Durham University and as a Placement Student at Insigneo Institute for in silico medicine.
Yousef Ahmed has a professional background in software development and computer programming. Yousef began their education with CodeClan, a professional software development school, before moving on to take courses in Java programming from Microsoft and edX. Yousef holds a Master of Engineering degree in bioengineering and biomedical engineering from The University of Sheffield, and also has A-Levels in physics, biology, mathematics, and chemistry from Durham Johnston Sixth Form.
