Meredith Lane's work experience begins in 2003 as a Development Assistant at WGBH. Meredith then moves on to The Home for Little Wanderers, where they serve as a Senior Development Associate and later as a Campaign Manager. In 2010, Meredith becomes the Deputy to Ambassador Swanee Hunt at Swanee Hunt Alternatives. Meredith later joins Simmons College as a Consultant for Donor Relations and then the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate as a Consultant for Development and Operations. Meredith then transitions to Integrated Behavioral Solutions as an Operations Manager, followed by a role as Director of Production at DataFinch Technologies. Meredith later becomes a Product Owner at DataFinch Technologies before joining Widelity, Inc. as a Senior Manager for Compliance and Regulatory.

Meredith Lane attended Maranacook Community School from 1994 to 1999. Meredith then went on to earn a BA in Arts Administration from Simmons University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued an MBA from Simmons College - Simmons School of Management, completing their degree from 2004 to 2007, with a focus on Business.
