Christian Humborg

Christian Humborg is an experienced executive with a strong background in leadership and management within non-profit organizations and consulting. Since November 2016, Christian has served as the Executive Director of Wikimedia Deutschland e. V., previously holding the position of Deputy Director at the same organization. Prior roles include Executive Director at CORRECTIV from 2014 to 2016 and Executive Director at Transparency International Deutschland e.V. from 2007 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Christian worked as a Business Development Manager at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and as a Consultant at Plato Kommunikation, part of the Scholz & Friends Group. Christian began professional training at DB as a Trainee and Referent in der Konzernentwicklung from 1998 to 2000. Academic credentials include a Promotion in Betriebswirtschaftslehre der öffentlichen Verwaltung from the University of Potsdam and a Diplom in Verwaltungswissenschaften from the University of Konstanz, with additional studies at Leiden University.
