Jean-Rene Branaa

Jean-Rene Branaa is the current Manager of Engineering, Quality, and Test Engineering at the Wikimedia Foundation. Jean-Rene has held this position since 2014. Prior to that, they were the Senior Technical Program Manager at Intel Corporation from 2010 to 2014. There, they worked with customers and development teams to insure that Intel software was meeting customer needs. Jean-Rene also worked with mobile app development companies to enable their adoption of Intel-based mobile devices.

Before their time at Intel Corporation, Jean-Rene Branaa was the founder of SapienceStudios from 2007 to 2010 where they provided software engineering and quality consulting services as well as custom software development services.

From 1997 to 2007, Jean-Rene Branaa held the title of Software Engineering Tech Lead/Architect/Program Manager/Manager at HP. And from 1995 to 1997, they were the founder and software architect of ChemTrack.

Jean-Rene Branaa started their career in 1994 as a Senior Support Engineer/Test Engineer/SQA Engineer/Software Engineer at Sage before moving on to ChemTrack and eventually HP.

Jean-Rene Branaa has a degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento. Jean-Rene has worked in the IT field for many years and is currently a project manager for a large corporation.
