Jonathan van Geuns

Jonathan van Geuns is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data governance and evaluation. Currently, at UNICEF, Jonathan supports the mapping of data governance to enhance responsible data practices. Additionally, Jonathan serves as a project manager at Development Gateway, focusing on farmer-centric data governance research. A data governance and design manager at CRIEM, Jonathan is involved in developing Montreal's Social Data Hub. Previous roles include researching youth engagement at the Fraser Basin Council, content specialization for open access at the Wikimedia Foundation, and managing measurement and evaluation activities at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Jonathan has also founded Innovation Frontiers, an innovation management consultancy, and has contributed to Mozilla Foundation's data governance projects. Jonathan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws from Leiden University and participation in projects at the Peace Innovation Lab.
