Justin Scherer

Justin Scherer is a seasoned UX designer with extensive experience across various sectors, currently serving as Lead UX Designer at the Wikimedia Foundation since July 2023. In addition to this role, Justin is also a Course Instructor and Subject Matter Expert at the University of Alberta, where responsibilities include developing and teaching courses on Evaluative and Generative User Experience Research. Previously, Justin held senior design positions, including Senior Product Designer at Remitly and Head of Design at Hover Developer Services, Inc. Notable earlier roles include Design Lead at Ushahidi and various positions at Scotiabank, where responsibilities spanned from User Experience Design to Digital Design Management. Justin's educational background includes a Master of Information in Knowledge Media Design from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, specializing in History and German Studies.
