Shari Wakiyama

Shari Wakiyama is the current Director of Product Management at Wikimedia Foundation. Shari has also previously worked as the Director of Product Management at Metropolis and Fandango. Wakiyama has a wealth of experience in product management, data science, and customer engagement. Shari has been instrumental in developing enterprise solutions for customer engagement, marketing, customer analytics, and business intelligence. Wakiyama is a highly skilled leader who is able to drive app sign-up and usage while also conducting and leveraging market and competitive intelligence to make product and business decisions.

Shari Wakiyama graduated from La Salle University with a BA in Mathematics and Education. Shari then pursued an MEd in Mathematics from DeSales University. Afterwards, they completed their MBA in Finance from The Wharton School. Shari has also completed graduate coursework in Computer Science from Villanova University. In addition, they have received certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy and from the Scrum Alliance in Scrum Master Certified (SMC).

Their manager is Carol Dunn, Vice President of Product. They are on a team with Natalia Rodriguez - Senior Product Manager, Desiree Abad - Director, Product Platform, and Rebecca Wambua - Senior Product Manager.
