Wild Animal Initiative fosters the development of an emerging academic field dedicated to understanding wild animal welfare. We conduct original research, connect academics from diverse disciplines, and hold calls for proposals to fund the most promising projects. 

We are a fully remote organization. Wild Animal Initiative is a 501(c)3 non-profit based in the State of Minnesota. Donations are tax-deductible in the United States.

The Coordination Team at Wild Animal Initiative ensures seamless operations across the organization by managing human resources, financial activities, administrative services, and scientific events. They also facilitate outreach efforts, coordinate development activities, and support the Science Team in aligning research projects with the organization's mission to enhance wild animal welfare.
