Tony Lam

Tony Lam has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tony is currently working as an IT Operations Field Support at Wild Fork since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at The Field Museum for a significant part of their career. Tony held various roles there, including Manager of Technology Operations from October 2015 to June 2020, Lead Systems Engineer from October 2013 to October 2015, and Systems Administrator from October 2012 to October 2013. Before joining The Field Museum, Tony worked as a Systems Administrator at Healthcare Alternative Systems from April 2006 to October 2012. Tony also worked as a PC and Network Technician at Digital Business Solutions in 2005 and as a Production Manager at FedEx Kinko's from 2000 to 2004.

Tony Lam has a strong educational background in computer science and physics. Tony obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2006. Before that, they attended Elgin Community College from 2000 to 2002, focusing on Computer Science. In the earlier years, Tony studied physics at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Tony Lam has obtained several certifications to enhance their technical skills. Tony became a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for Windows Server 2008 Networking Infrastructure Configuration in June 2011. Earlier, in 2008, they earned the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - MCSA 2003 certification. Tony is also a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician - CCENT, which they achieved in February 2013.
