Jean Gael (JG) E. Collomb, Ph.D. has a diverse background in wildlife conservation and scientific policy. Jean Gael (JG) has held several key roles throughout their career. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Wildlife Conservation Society. Following this, from 1998 to 2002, they served as the GFW Central Africa Manager at the World Resources Institute. In 2003, they took on the position of Technical Assistant - Gabon National Parks at the Wildlife Conservation Society. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at the University of Florida as a Ph.D. candidate and later an Instructor. In 2010, they became an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation, where they provided expertise and guidance in fostering collaboration between US and foreign scientists. Jean Gael (JG) then joined the Wildlife Conservation Network in 2012 as the Director of Conservation Programs, and in 2015, they were promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Jean Gael (JG) E. Collomb, Ph.D. completed a Baccalaureat "D" in Life Sciences at EAB from 1980 to 1992. Jean Gael (JG) then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology at The George Washington University, completing it from 1992 to 1996. Later, they earned a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Ecology from the University of Florida, which they completed from 2004 to 2009.
