Veterinary Resident In Zoological Medicine & Surgery at Wildlife Conservation Society

Agnes (Aga) Galej, VMD, is currently serving as a Veterinary Resident in Zoological Medicine & Surgery at the Wildlife Conservation Society since July 2023, following a Specialty Internship in Avian & Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery at The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center from July 2022 to July 2023. Previous experience includes a Rotating Internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and several roles as a Veterinary Preceptee at notable institutions such as the National Aquarium and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Education includes a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania (2017 - 2021) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Vet with a focus on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale University (2013 - 2017). Furthermore, leadership roles include serving as SAVMA President at Penn Vet and founding program director for the National Student Leadership Conference on Veterinary Medicine.
