Lavina currently serves as a Project Assistant at the Wildlife Conservation Society since June 2022, following a tenure as a Research Assistant at Save Our Seas Foundation from June 2022 to March 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Naturalist at SUJÁN from August 2021 to April 2022, where Lavina focused on wildlife in a leopard safari property, and an internship at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, assisting with a cetacean distribution survey in Lakshadweep. Earlier roles involved public relations at NewsKarnataka.com and volunteering at the Nature Conservation Foundation. Lavina holds a Master's degree in Marine Sciences from Goa University and a Bachelor's degree in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry from St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
