Forest Science And GIS Analyst at Wildlife Works

Alyssa van Doorn is a Forest Science and GIS Analyst at Wildlife Works Carbon, where analysis of forestry and geospatial data is conducted to support avoided deforestation REDD+ projects since September 2021. Previously, Alyssa held the role of Ecological Field Technician at Battelle and served as GIS Technician II at Mott MacDonald. Academic experience includes research assistant positions at Rowan University, where responsibilities included social programming and conflict resolution, and at Texas A&M University as part of a National Science Foundation research experience. Alyssa started their professional journey as a Lifeguard at Black Bear Lake Day Camp. Currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Plant Biology at the University of Vermont, Alyssa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science from Rowan University.
