Jeff Hayward

Jeff Hayward has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Jeff began their career at Rainforest Alliance in 2006, where they held various positions including Manager of Verification Services, Director of the Climate Program, and Vice President of Landscapes and Livelihoods. In these roles, they were responsible for managing budgets, leading teams, and developing partnerships in areas related to sustainable agriculture, climate change, and carbon forestry. From 2017 to 2018, Jeff took time as an Independent Consultant to focus on family and explore agricultural, forestry, and land-use issues in Colombia. Since 2018, they have been with Wildlife Works, serving as the Country Director for Colombia and later as the Global Director of Quality and Practice. In these roles, they have overseen the implementation of REDD+ projects, developed sustainable livelihood activities, and supported the growth of the organization.

Jeff Hayward earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Washington, where they attended from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Forestry at The University of British Columbia from 1995 to 1998.
