Laurena Mitchell

Laurena Mitchell is a Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador at Willard Powell. Laurena has also worked as a Program Manager (stretch) - D&I Events at Microsoft.

Laurena has a passion for diversity and inclusion, and is committed to increasing awareness of these issues internally and externally. Laurena has helped to deliver on Willard Powell's mission of building diverse and equitable teams, and has also overseen Microsoft's presence at diversity conferences and supported the overall strategy for select Microsoft-owned diversity events.

Laurena is a skilled communicator and has a keen eye for detail. Laurena is also a strong project manager, with experience in managing budgets and allocations. Laurena is a team player who is always willing to collaborate and problem-solve alongside their peers.

Laurena Mitchell has a Master's degree in Human Relations- Inclusive Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. Laurena also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from Texas State University. Laurena has certification from BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) in Black Mental Health and Healing Justice Peer Support, Yoga Alliance in Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I, Kidding Around Yoga in Children's Yoga Teacher, and Yoga Alliance in PTSD Yoga Instructor (Trauma Informed Yoga Instruction).

Laurena Mitchell reports to David McInnis, President & Founding Partner. They are on a team with Stewart Sloan - Partner & Sr. Engagement Manager, Jonathan Sanchez - Engagement Manager, and Rayana Petrone - Marketing Intern.
