Jennifer Harris

Jennifer Harris is currently the Founding Director of the Economy & Society Initiative at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, a position held since January 2024 while on personal leave. As a Co-Founder and Co-Chair of BuildUS since March 2023, Jennifer Harris has contributed to the organization's growth to over $50 million, focusing on maximizing the potential of recent federal legislation to enhance the economy. Previous roles include serving as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for International Economics at The White House from March 2021 to February 2023, and as a Senior Fellow at several institutions including the Brookings Institution and the Council on Foreign Relations. Jennifer Harris's extensive experience in economic policy is supported by education from prestigious institutions including Yale Law School and the University of Oxford, where advanced degrees in law and international relations were earned.
