Borja Urkizu

Borja Urkizu is a seasoned software engineer specializing in backend engineering, with extensive experience gained from various roles since 2004. Currently serving as an Ingeniero de software at TECNALIA Research & Innovation since January 2017, Borja Urkizu focuses on backend engineering. Concurrently, Borja Urkizu has been involved with WiMi5, also since January 2014, developing the backend components of the tool and its service infrastructure. Previously, Borja Urkizu contributed to the initial development of WiMi5 while working as a Software Engineer at TECNALIA Research & Innovation from January 2012 to January 2014, and engaged in security projects as a Research Engineer at the European Software Institute from 2009 to 2011. Early career experience includes software engineering at Panda Security, where Borja Urkizu developed the malware detection engine for the TrustLayer product. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Information Systems Security from Universidad de Deusto and a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Deusto.
