Amy Carter is an experienced equestrian professional with a comprehensive background in managing equine operations and education. As the Founder, Manager, and Owner of Carter Equestrian since 2015, Amy emphasizes proper handling and horseback riding skills with a strong commitment to safety. Concurrently, Amy has served as the Equine Manager and General Operations Partner at Linden Manor Farm, where quality care is provided to horses of various ages and disciplines. Additionally, Amy has held the role of Stallion and Breeding Office Administrator at Winbak Farm since 2012, overseeing breeding contracts and logistics. Previous experience includes positions as a Riding Instructor at Sunset Stables and as an Office Manager/Assistant Trainer at Advantage Horsemanship with Scott Purdum. Winbak Farm was founded in 1991 by Joe and JoAnn Thomson. They specialize in standing, breeding, raising, and selling some of the very best Standardbred horses out there. The company's flagship farm is located on 2,000 acres of lush Maryland farmland, with operations extending into Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Canada. A Winbakstallion's foal can be used within the breeding program for his or her respective stallion, as they are outstandingly conformed and major stakes winners. The Winbak management team is dedicated 100 percent to their respective specialties. A careful study of nutrition ensures proper nourishment. The Winbak team tests hay and forage to ensure lacks are supplemented, while the seasonal climate ensures sufficient rainfall, resulting in lush pastures. Winbak also boasts an aggressive blacksmith and farrier program that ensures the growth of strong horses with a solid foundation of strong feet.
