Brynne McSorley

Member, Student Equity Collaborative at Winchester Thurston School

Brynne McSorley is an active student at Winchester Thurston School, engaged in various leadership roles and community service initiatives. As a member of the Student Equity Collaborative, Brynne collaborates with Student Union leaders and faculty to advocate for underrepresented groups. Serving as President of the Student Council, Brynne effectively liaises with school administration, leads assemblies, facilitates meetings, and coordinates community events. In addition, Brynne holds significant roles in Mock Trial as Co-Captain and as a student attorney, while also contributing as Co-Editor in Chief and Head Satire Editor for the Voices Newspaper. Brynne’s commitment to mental health advocacy is evident through involvement with organizations such as Mental Health America and the Pennsylvania Youth Advocacy, focusing on improving services and reducing disparities. Brynne’s leadership journey is further complemented by experiences as both a Junior Counselor and a participant in leadership training programs. Currently pursuing a high school diploma, Brynne aims to foster positive change and inclusivity within the community.
