Anwar Ahmed

Anwar Ahmed is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in software engineering and engineering management. Currently serving as Vice President of Edge Systems at Wind River since May 2023, Anwar previously held multiple leadership roles at GE Renewable Energy from November 2016 to May 2023, including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Software Engineering for Digital Services. Anwar's career spans various positions in GE, GE Digital, and GE Global Research, focusing on IIoT, embedded systems, and software development for control systems. A strong background in engineering was initiated at Yokogawa, where Anwar developed communications drivers, and an academic foundation was established with M. Tech in Instrumentation & Control and M. Sc in Engineering Physics & Instrumentation from Devi Ahilya University and Kakatiya University, respectively.
