Garrett Vanacore has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to the present. Garrett began their career as a Research Assistant at Haverford College, where they conducted fundamental research in theoretical cosmology and topology. Garrett then worked as an Interning Research Scientist at Inprentus, contributing to the company's transition to predictive manufacturing of high-precision optical devices.
In 2011, Vanacore joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Research and Teaching Assistant, specializing in theoretical condensed matter physics. During their time there, they conducted fundamental research under Prof. Philip W. Phillips.
In 2018, Vanacore started working at Uplift Inc., initially as a Senior Data Scientist. Garrett played a crucial role in developing the company's core loan product and commercial business. Garrett later became the Principal Product Manager, Data Platform, where they were responsible for the strategic planning and development of the data platform. Vanacore successfully managed an overhaul of the financial data domain, among other responsibilities.
Currently, Vanacore is working at Windfall as a Senior Data Scientist, a position they started in 2023.
Garrett Vanacore has an extensive education history, primarily focusing on the field of physics. Garrett began their undergraduate studies at Haverford College in 2007 and successfully earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics and Mathematics in 2011. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they embarked on a Ph.D. program in Physics from 2011 to 2018. However, it is noteworthy that the Ph.D. degree remains incomplete, indicating that they did not finish the program.
