Eric Thompson

Eric Thompson has a diverse work experience in the clean tech industry spanning over three decades. Their most recent role is CEO/Cofounder at Windscape AI, a company they founded in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a consultant in renewable business development and product launch. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Chief Business Development Officer at Ensemble Energy, leading bizdev strategy and implementation for an AI-based asset management platform.

Before that, Eric held various positions at Natel Energy from 2011 to 2019, including VP of Business Development, where they were responsible for introducing new hydroelectric turbines to the market. Eric also worked as a Clean Energy Business Development Consultant for multiple clients from 1998 to 2014, providing strategic partnership consulting in the clean tech industry.

Other notable roles include being a Co-founder/VP of Business Development at Nordic Windpower from 2006 to 2011, where they secured sales commitments and developed a sales pipeline for wind turbines. Eric was also a VP of Business Development at Energy Nevada LLC from 2003 to 2007, where they played a key role in implementing solar and energy efficiency projects.

Early in their career, Eric worked as a Marketing Manager at Environmental Defense Fund, where they developed and managed sales and marketing for integrated resource planning software and services. Eric also had a research fellowship at The Asia Foundation, studying Indonesia's electric utility economics and finance.

Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated expertise in business development, sales, strategy, and market positioning in the clean tech and renewable energy sectors.

Eric Thompson attended Cornell University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
