Alma Leon-Reveles

Alma Leon-Reveles has a diverse work experience in the fields of wine and legal services. Alma began their career in 2006 as a Staff Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, where they provided legal advice and counsel to indigent clients in both English and Spanish. Alma advised clients on various issues such as divorce, immigration, eviction defense, and fair housing. Alma also conducted legal research, wrote legal documents, and strategized the best course of action for clients.

In 2008, Alma transitioned into the wine industry, starting as a Wine Sales Retail Associate at Wine.com. Alma sold wine, glassware, and accessories at the retail store in Berkeley, California. Their responsibilities included basic wine education, hand-selling lesser-known brands and collectible wines, and developing customer relationships.

Over the years, Alma advanced within Wine.com, taking on roles such as Merchandising Coordinator, Senior Wine Buyer & Product Manager, Merchandise & Promotions Planner, and finally, Director of Content and Promotion. In these positions, they demonstrated extensive knowledge of wine producers, importers, and wine regions of the world. Alma worked closely with marketing and buying teams to plan and execute national email campaigns, generate revenue, and foster product discovery. Alma also managed inventory, conducted JIT purchasing, and made opportunistic buys.

Alma Leon-Reveles obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Lewis & Clark Law School from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis from 1996 to 2000. Alma is currently enrolled in a Certificate Program in Marketing at UC Berkeley Extension. In addition, they hold an Advanced Certificate in Wines & Spirits from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Alma also has the professional certification of an Attorney from the State Bar of California.
