David Allen

David Allen joined Wine-Searcher.com as Wine Director in 2017. His career began with him working for over a decade in wine retail, with the innovative Oddbins chain in the UK. While with Oddbins he moved on to write copy for their website. He then worked for the online auction site Uvine.

Subsequent roles involved selling fine wine for distributors Top Selection and Coe Vintners. David achieved the title of Master of Wine in 2010. He has judged both for the International Wine Challenge and the Decanter Wine Awards. He has served as Chairman of Guangdong Times Media's Golden Bottle Awards and contributes a monthly column (in English) for their Wine Magazine.
