Chad Watkins has a diverse work experience in the wine industry. Chad started their career at EBSCO Publishing as a French Abstractor in 2008. Later in the same year, they joined Gary's Wine & Marketplace, where they worked in various roles, including Wine Associate, Assistant Store Manager and Wine Manager, and Special Project Manager. In 2014, Chad founded their own venture called (Un)Common Grape. Since 2016, they have been working at Winebow, initially as a Brand Manager and currently as the Director of Portfolio Governance.
Chad Watkins earned a Diploma in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities with a history concentration/French from Messiah University from 2003 to 2007. Chad also holds a High School Diploma in General Education from The Master's School, which they received from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Chad has obtained several certifications related to wine, including Alsace Master Level, Bordeaux Master Level, Certified Specialist of Wine, Champagne Master Level, and French Wine Scholar.
