Stephen Turik

Stephen Turik has a diverse work experience in various industries. Stephen started their career as a Clothing Advisor at Harry Rosen in 2011 and worked there until 2014. From 2013 to 2016, they served as a Youth Worker at Boys and Girls Club Calgary, providing community-based group care for youth. In 2015, they worked as a Student Teacher at the University of Calgary.

In 2016, Stephen became a Case Manager at the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary, where they acted as a liaison for group home youth. Stephen maintained detailed files and conducted assessments for the youth. From 2017 to 2022, they joined Willow Park Wines & Spirits, initially as a Sommelier and Senior Instructor, coordinating educational programs on wine production, consumption, legislation, and marketing. Later, they took on the role of Corporate Concierge, Education Coordinator & Sommelier, multitasking projects and managing a wine and spirits educational program.

In 2021, Stephen briefly worked as a Customer Champion at Thinkific, gaining technical support skills and creating an online course. Stephen then joined WineDirect in 2022 as a Technical Writer, responsible for creating and managing internal and customer-facing documentation. In 2023, they transitioned to the role of Documentation Controller, streamlining communication between the organization and customers.

Throughout their work experience, Stephen has developed skills in project coordination, technical support, education management, and customer service.

Stephen Turik completed their education with various degrees and certificates. Stephen first graduated from Bishop O'Byrne High School in 2009 with a High School Diploma, specializing in the International Baccalaureate Program. After that, Stephen pursued further studies at Mount Royal University from 2009 to 2014 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, with a focus on Liberal Arts and Sciences. Following their undergraduate studies, they joined the University of Calgary from 2014 to 2016, where they completed a degree in Secondary Education, specializing in the field of Education. In 2017, Stephen enrolled in the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and successfully completed a Level 3 certificate in Wine and Spirits, which they finished in 2019.
