WinGate Wilderness Therapy
Matthew Pinheiro is an experienced professional with a background in outdoor recreation, environmental stewardship, and data analysis. Currently serving as Field Staff at WinGate Wilderness Therapy since April 2020, Matthew previously held roles such as Climbing Ranger Assistant/Environmental Steward at Joshua Tree National Park, where assistance was provided in preserving the park and managing climber impact. Experience also includes working as a Logistics Coordinator at Positive Adventures, LLC, a Data Analyst at Strategic Insight, and a Research Assistant at the University of San Diego, where collaboration occurred with a tenured economics professor on research for the WEAI journal. Additional internships in marketing and analysis have been completed, demonstrating a diverse skill set and a strong foundation in economics, earned through degrees from the University of San Diego.

WinGate is one of the premier wilderness therapy programs in the U.S. Our owner-operated wilderness treatment program is for troubled youth ages 13 to 17. Our life changing outdoor therapy provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that offers hope and healing to families.WinGate Wilderness Therapy is licensed by the State of Utah asan Outdoor Therapeutic Program, and we are a member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
