Anna Garcia (She/Her)

Executive Director, Corporate Responsibility & Communications at WinGD

Anna Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Anna started their career in 1999 as a Marketing Coordinator at Shaw Communications. Anna then moved on to work as an Account Manager at Creative Intelligence from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, they joined the Alberta Cancer Foundation as an Event Coach, where they successfully supported participants in their training and fundraising efforts, raising a record amount of over $7 million. Anna joined Easter Seals Alberta in 2007 as the Director of Operations, a position they held until 2016. In 2018, they joined WinGD - Winterthur Gas & Diesel, initially as the Manager of Marketing & Communications, and later became the Global Head of Communications. Currently, they serve as the Executive Director of Corporate Responsibility & Communications at WinGD.

Anna Garcia attended the University of Calgary and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Human Geography in 1998. Prior to that, they also attended the University of Alberta from 1992 to 1993, although their degree name during that period is unknown. In addition to their formal education, Anna has obtained certifications in Crisis Communication for HR, 20 Habits of Executive Leadership, and Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program from LinkedIn, with the most recent certifications obtained in October 2021 and January 2022.
