John Ladd

John Ladd is an experienced geologist and ski instructor with a robust background in geoscience and drilling projects. Currently serving as a ski instructor at Winter Park Resort since December 2019, John has also held the position of Principal and Geological Consultant at Phantom Bridge Resources, LLC since June 2018, where responsibilities included evaluating acquisition opportunities and serving as a technical representative for non-operating partners in development drilling projects. Prior to this, John was with Discovery Natural Resources as a Senior Geologist and Permian Basin Geoscience Lead from December 2006 to May 2018, overseeing significant geologic evaluations and development drilling in Texas. John's extensive career includes senior geologist roles with Kerr McGee, Vessels Oil and Gas, HS Resources, Snyder Oil Company, Mobil Oil, and the Superior Oil Minerals Division, with involvement in various oil and gas exploration and development projects across multiple basins. John holds an MS in Geology from Cornell University and a BS in Geology from Brown University.
